Thank you for supporting me to run the London Marathon and raise money for Bournemouth Citizen's Advice Bureau
On Sunday April 26th 2009, I successfully completed the London Marathon in 3 hours 27 minutes. By the time I reached the finish line I was exhausted but delighted to have raised over £1,000 for the Bournemouth Citizen's Advice Bureau.
Huge thanks to everyone who sent me messages of support and generously sponsored me, it helped keep me going, especially through those last few miles!!
The Bournemouth CAB provides important services to people facing difficulty and is a place to turn for free financial, legal and other advice. Nationally, CAB centres help around 2 million people each year while Bournemouth dealt with around 8,000 cases last year.
Best of luck mate
Best of luck with it
If you finish (or get close!)
I talked to CABs around the country for my book. They are great - and under threat. Good luck!
Break a leg...hypothetically speaking and enjoy!
Best of luck

It's a great cause to support. Good luck - go for it
Good luck Alasdair
£1 per kilometre - bonne chance
Good luck and no leaflet delivery for a few weeks afterwards!
We rely on CAB a lot in Exeter and they are so helpful with their advice to the elderly. London this time, New York next???

We would donate our pocket money if we got any.
You deserve to do well cos you've worked so hard for this. Will be cheering you on.
We'll be cheering you on gorgeous!!

Hi Al, hope the body is keeping together, and more importantly the mind!
Lesley & Dennis Paiba
good luck, Alasdair
I hope that the feet and legs hold out – what number will you be wearing? And should we look out for you in a dinosaur, Postman Pat, Tinkerbell or other outfit?
Julia and Ed
Just sorry that we cannot be somewhere along the route or at the end to cheer you on
I promised to double it if you came in under 3 hrs 30!
I'll double it if you do it in a rhino costume
Good luck for Sunday
For effort, if you finish or not!
